About garment dye

ミリタリーやワークウェアをデザインソースに、肩の力を抜いて日常に寄り添うようなユニセックスのデイリーウェアを提案します。
ものを作りすぎない仕組みのひとつとして、製品染めを主体としたものづくりを行なっています。
洋服づくりでは、生地や生産のロットといった避けられない壁をクリアするために、過剰生産が生まれてしまう課題があります。その流れを変えるため、まず白い状態で製品を作り、その後、製品染によって色を分ける方法を取り入れました。この方法により、生地や生産の柔軟性が生まれ、必要以上に作らないものづくりが可能になります。
染色には、ボタニカルハイブリッド染をはじめ、職人の手仕事によるベンガラ染、柿渋染、暮染など自然由来の技術を多く活用しています。それに加えて、さまざまな表現を引き出すために、その他の染色技術も取り入れています。
自然から生まれる柔らかな色の屈折や奥行きのある豊かな色彩はもちろん、多様な風合いを楽しんでいただける仕上がりを目指しています。
素材選びにおいても、染色加工を施すことでさまざまな表情が引き出される生地を採用しています。
日本の色彩や侘び寂びのこころを伝え、永く繋がるものづくりを目指しています。

Drawing inspiration from military and workwear aesthetics, the brand offers unisex daily attire that is relaxed and closely aligned with everyday life.
We use garment dyeing as a way to prevent overproduction.
When manufacturing clothing, fabric and production lot constraints often lead to unavoidable overproduction.
To change this approach, we first create our products in a white, undyed state and then apply colour through garment dyeing.
This adds flexibility to fabric and production processes, making it possible to manufacture without overproducing.
We use natural techniques such as botanical hybrid dyeing, along with traditional methods like Bengala dyeing, Kakishibu (persimmon tannin) dyeing, and Kura dyeing.
We also explore other many other dyeing techniques to achieve a variety of expressions.
Our aim is to utilise garment-dyeing as a way to deliver a variety of textures in products that showcase soft refractions and rich, layered tones inspired by nature.
We have carefully chosen fabrics that exhibit diverse expressions when dyed.
The collection aims to create well-made, long-lasting pieces, while conveying the essence of Japanese colours and a wabi-sabi spirit.
